Here we have Vilmer Salen Forsberg-- a hulking goaltender in the OHL by way of Sweden. A very large and long body allows Salen Forsberg to take up a sizable portion of the net. For a large goalie he moves quite well and has fairly sound technique. He has above average foot/edge agility for his size. He is not overly athletic but he moves quite well for his size, more than enough to be effective. In this game he suffered from a few bad bounces that lead to broken plays and pucks in the net. These were not his fault, but some extra athleticism may have allowed him to make those saves. He tracks the play well and seems to have quality hockey IQ, something I am a fan of. On the downside, I would like to see more effective rebound control, things did not look great during this game. Overall this was a solid game where he earned the win, he is a large goalie with above average movement that reads the plays well while playing with a competitive edge.
