Really strong viewing, overall. Had a very "bull in a china shop" type approach here. The size/strength/physicality combination stood out right away. He's very hard to knock off the puck, and he can blow guys up when he hits. He anticipates the play quite well, intercepting passes on multiple occasions as a result. Offensively, his goal was the product of a really quick release off the rush (and against a good goalie in Frolov) - he has a goal scorer's shot. Not sure how truly elite the hands and playmaking are, but I wouldn't call them deficient, moreso just above average. He competed hard all over the ice, and definitely was a Plus in this viewing in that sense. I'd describe his skating as more "strong" than "quick" - he was tough to knock off stride, but wasn't necessarily the fastest guy out there.
