Meyer displayed plenty of tools that would excite scouts in this viewing. He was all over the puck on the forecheck, using a relentless physical game to disrupt defenders on the retrieval and win possession for his team. His playmaking ability stood out on numerous occasions, and he showed some nice creativity as well as quick decision making under pressure. His goal was the result of a great shot, after an even better play to strip the D of the puck. His assists came of the result of some more hard work, as well as some deft passing ability and vision. There is a lot to like here without any real red flag, at least based on this viewing. He should be seen, at this point, as a potential Top 10 pick.
